Girls Scouts of the USA Chooses OI Partners to Standardize the Coaching Process and Prove ROI using Technology

Girl Scouts of the USA received funding to provide coaching for 18 local council CEOs. The local CEO role is pivotal because they must direct fundraising efforts, manage volunteers, oversee programs and more. Coaching would accelerate their capabilities.

Girl Scouts wanted to monitor the progress of each CEO, all located in different cities, and ensure CEOs started and finished in the same timeline. This required efficient project management and a robust technology system.

Girls Scouts chose OI Partners, a global talent management company, to oversee the program using OI Partners’ proprietary coaching management system, eDevelopment Center: A Total Coaching Resource.

This online tool – combined with one-on-one consultation with OI Partners’ coaches – allowed OI Partners to monitor progress of each CEO at each step. This ensured that CEOs were accomplishing milestones on time and that OI Partners could give each CEO the same coaching.  It also gave Girl Scouts oversight of the entire process.

With all CEOs going through the same engagement launch process, assessments and action planning in eDevelopment Center, there was potential for gathering aggregate data. Such data informs Girls Scouts about leadership challenges and aids the design of future programs.

The Girl Scouts met their goal of providing standardized coaching for 18 CEOs across the country on time.  In addition, they could show return on investment.

OI Partners and Girl Scouts demonstrates that, using eDevelopment Center, companies can 1)  handle multi-city coaching engagements 2) standardize coaching 3) prove coaching ROI and 4) gather data across engagements to align programs.
