Lateyfa Ali

Lateyfa joined E. K. Ward & Associates, Western New York's largest Human Resources Consulting firm, as General Manager in April 1996. Her background includes senior level HR roles in diverse industries including a multi-billion dollar diversified financial services company (Goldome), manufacturing (General Motors), and the public sector (City of Atlanta Housing Division). Her transition to HR consulting was a natural extension of a corporate career where she used her leadership and analytical skills to position HR as a strategic partner for organizational growth. Her expertise includes a mix of capabilities aimed at creating profitable businesses while building talented and committed employees through HR best practices. As VP of Human Resources, Lateyfa used strategic planning expertise with executives to focus organizational performance around clearly defined strategies, goals and objectives. In addition, throughout her career, she spearheaded innovative work-life programs, championed first-of-a kind programs to train females and minorities for careers in banking and finance, successfully won grants to fund workforce development/retraining programs, and was instrumental in transitioning thousands of auto manufacturing employees into new careers.

At E. K. Ward & Associates, Lateyfa uses her leadership and strategic thinking to continually build on a diverse practice of outplacement, executive search, organizational development, executive coaching, and outsourced human resources programs. She holds a B.S. in Education from the State University of New York of Buffalo, is a certified assessment facilitator, and has completed hundreds of hours in professional development and certification programs.

In addition to membership in numerous community and professional organizations such as the Society for Human Resource Management, and the American Society for Training and Development, Lateyfa is currently a Board member and Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee for the Bethel Community Development Corporation in Buffalo, NY.
